Shaurice N. Carr joined the Cosby Company as a government affairs representative with 11 years of experience in institutional, grass root and governmental networking.  She has been instrumental in community and economic developmental programs. She also hold the responsibility of assisting various clients, within our firm, who employs more than 500+ staffers, volunteers and agents.  She works together with  these agencies to sustain, develop and improve the their quality, as well as, the quality of life around Alabamas.

She’s responsible for monitoring and helping agencies carry out objectives and goals by providing advice, and technical assistance.  She’s also responsible for coordinating advocacy events and materials promoting client programs. Shaurice has been a stellar addition to this company and continues to grow. 

Shaurice Carr holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Science (MS), specializing in cancer research, degrees from Tuskegee University. 

Drayton Hamilton Cosby joined the Cosby Company in 2005 after working as an Assistant General Manager for the Montgomery Wings Independent League Baseball team and lead fundraiser for the Alabama Forestry Association's ForestPac.

Drayton graduated from the University of Alabama in 2001, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations. For the last 12 years, he has helped to develop the public relations effort for Cosby Company clients, media and the Alabama Legislature. 

He has also helped to assist the government relations effort for the Cosby Company by developing strategy, educational  outreach, campaign collaboration, grant services, program development and recruitment. 

Drayton is the cofounder of the Wee Can Fight Obesity (WCFO) Partnership that is now assisting 250+ schools educate students on physical fitness and health through exergaming technology. Drayton has also been instrumental in developing numerous community and economic development projects around the State.
At the age of 29, William Francis “Noopie” Cosby, Jr.  was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in 1978. Cosby was elected as a Democrat in Dallas County, but his political leanings were aimed at representing his district and not a political party.

He became the point floor leader for Republican Governor Guy Hunt in 1987 and gained institutional knowledge of the workings of Alabama state government. Cosby served four consecutive terms (16 years) and did not seek re-election in 1994.
 
Noopie formed The Cosby Company in 1994, a government and public affairs agency. Cosby has 34 years of experience in the legislative process. He graduated from the University of West Alabama, BS Ed, and Marion Military Institute Junior College. He is 63 years old and lifelong resident of Selma, AL and serves as Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Selma.
